Services

Free Consultation

One of the most important things when looking for a doula is making sure that you're a good fit! I offer a free consultation to go over some of the basics and get a feel as to whether working together will be good for everyone.

Phone & Email Support

I'm available 24/7 for phone and email support (though I would prefer calls at random hours of the night only be for when you go into labor or in an emergency!). I will give you both my phone number and email and you can email, text, or call whenever you need or want.

Prenatal Visits

Based on what we discuss, I will offer a range of prenatal visit support. Each package has a different amount of visits based on momma and baby's needs!

As a Doula, I  Do Not:

Professional Information

As I attend and support more births, I will be posting testimonials to this site and acquiring ratings on my Facebook page. Please go check those out for more information!

During labor

Right now, I offer full personal support at every birth. I don't as of yet have a backup, but am hoping to add one to my team in the future!

Perform any clinical tasks

All monitoring of mom and baby as well as medical tasks (examinations, stitching if mom requires it, and the like) will be performed by a midwife or OB/GYN. I'm here to support mom and baby and help make sure her birth plan is followed (barring any serious complications, of course).

Baby’s first feeding Support

While I don't offer professional lactation support at this moment, I can help with breastfeeding latching and positioning as well as answering any basic questions you may have!

Make decisions for you

My job is to be your advocate and supporter! I will stick up for you while in labor or when working with your medical provider, but all I can do is educate you and help you come to your right answer!

Postpartum follow-up visit

Similarly to the prenatal visits, each different package offers different amounts of postpartum visits, depending on what mom, baby, and family would like.

Speak to the staff on your behalf

It's your job as mom to speak to your care provider about any medical questions or concerns you may have. I can support you and help you follow through with what you want while you're in the heat of labor, but it's up to you to speak up and make your plan known!

Birth Stories

If you would like a written account of your birth from my notes, you can request one and I will either print or email it to you (depending on your preference).

Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience

When it comes to pregnancy, labor, and birth, everyone has a different opinion. I certainly have my own, and they are definitely part of what drove me to become a doula. That being said, this is not my birth. I'm here to be a resource and help you make the best decisions for you and your baby! We can have open discussions (I'm an open book!), but I won't ever tell you that what I believe or how I think is what or how you should.
